Ingredients:
- Spring roll wrappers (usually made from rice or wheat)
- Fillings (choose a combination of finely chopped vegetables like carrots, cabbage, bell peppers, and cooked protein like shrimp, chicken, or tofu)
- Rice vermicelli noodles (cooked and drained)
- Fresh herbs (like mint, cilantro, and basil)
- Soy sauce or dipping sauce of your choice
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Prepare all the fillings by chopping the vegetables and cooking the protein if necessary.
2. Dip a spring roll wrapper in warm water for a few seconds until it becomes soft and pliable. Place it on a clean surface.
3. Place a small amount of rice vermicelli noodles in the center of the wrapper.
4. Add a few pieces of your chosen vegetables, protein, and herbs on top of the noodles.
5. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling.
6. Roll the spring roll tightly, sealing the edges with a bit of water to help them stick.
7. Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and fillings.
8. Heat oil in a pan for frying. Once hot, gently add the spring rolls and fry until they are golden brown and crispy.
9. Place the fried spring rolls on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
10. Serve the spring rolls with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
