Instructions:
1. In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
2. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chili. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
4. Add the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
5. Add the drained chickpeas and mix well. Add water as needed to achieve the desired consistency. Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.

For Bhature:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
2. Add yogurt and mix well. Gradually add water and knead to form a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for about 2 hours.
3. Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into rounds.
4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Roll out each dough portion into a thin oval-shaped bread.
5. Carefully slide the rolled bread into the hot oil and press gently with a slotted spoon. The bread should puff up. Flip and fry until both sides are golden brown.
6. Remove the fried bhature onto a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
